In Panama City, the first real heat wave sends everyone to the phone at once. If your air conditioner hasn't been looked at since last year, spring is the time to book its tune-up: appointments are easy to get and there is time to fix anything we find.
Three reasons to go early
- You pick the day. Spring calendars are open; July calendars are not.
- Problems get fixed before you need the AC every day, not during a heat wave.
- Parts that are wearing out can be replaced on your schedule instead of after they fail.
What a tune-up does
A clean system moves more air with less power. During a tune-up we clean the coils, clear the condensate drain, check the refrigerant pressures and test the electrical parts that usually fail first: capacitors, contactors, and fan motors.
The drain matters more than people think. Dust, algae and bacteria build up in the pan and line, and a blocked drain can overflow onto a ceiling or floor.
It adds years to the system
Every system wears out eventually, but one that is cleaned and checked every year lasts longer and runs cheaper while it does. A yearly visit also tells you, years ahead, when replacement is coming, so you can budget for it instead of being surprised.
Book yours
Our Family Plans put these visits on the calendar automatically. Or call (850) 818-2182 and we will set up a one-time tune-up.
